Conspicuous by its lack of a comprehensive approach to public Wi-Fi, Boston is taking a long and hard look at bringing the wireless service across the city. A Wi-Fi Summit involving cross sections of the city's residents and institutions is scheduled for May 19.
"I'm glad we didn't do it (Wi-Fi) earlier," said Boston City Councilor John Tobin, who has been spearheading the Wi-Fi drive. "We wanted to slow it down a bit, so we could do it right."

It's hypocritical to delete information that would expand the electorate and make the knowledge the electorate needs to vote more robust so it's possible to vote on the issues than on celebrity. On the one hand wifi allows greater access to our municipal government. But on the other hand like in any sphere of influenece there are those who would limit access by censoring information people can use to be better participants, to be more knowledgeable participants in our democracy. This comment related to an example of the uses of wifi is in response to a deleted posting that was here and it's available at http://guidetoproblematicallibraryuse.buzzword.com/discuss/msgReader$469?mode=topic

We can create a link to the site or better yet post it in a much clearer format. What you copied and pasted into your comment is confusing. What is the point of the post?

If you would, please make more clear what you see that looked confusing.
It is not yet clear what you refer to... Trackbacks
