Ethos AgeWell West Roxbury and Boston City Councilor John M. Tobin are teaming up to bring Fenway Park to West Roxbury for local senior citizens on Wednesday, September 3 during “Fenway in Your Backyard” at the The Boston Lodge of Elks, 1 Morrell Street.
Neighborhood seniors are invited to watch the Boston Red Sox take on the Baltimore Orioles at 1:35 pm. Participants will view the game via giant screen TV. Traditional ball park food will be served by roaming vendors and fun activities like throwing out the first pitch and baseball trivia will add to the festive atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to show their team spirit by wearing their favorite Red Sox apparel. They are also invited to bring memorabilia and their favorite Red Sox stories and memories.
The Elks Hall will open at 12:30 p.m. for the start of the ballgame. Anyone interested in attending must RSVP by calling Cathy Slade at (617)-477-6616. The Boston Lodge of Elks is located at the corner of Spring and Morrell streets. Parking is available on street, on site and at the church across from the Elks.
