Boston City Councillor John M. Tobin, Jr., Chair of the City Council’s Committee on Arts, Film, Humanities & Tourism, and the members of the Boston City Council honored comedian and actor Dane Cook with a Boston City Council Resolution naming Wednesday, September 17, 2008 “Dane Cook Day” in the City of Boston.
The presentation took place in the Council Chamber at the beginning of the City Council’s weekly meeting at 11:30 a.m. on the 5th floor of Boston City Hall.
An Arlington native, Dane Cook is one of today’s most popular stand-up comedians. His record-breaking live performances have attracted crowds of up to 50,000 fans. He is also known for his work in film, including his latest movie, “My Best Friend’s Girl,” which opens this week.
